Observations..
- estimated macros is a free meal. It’s off plan. On is on and off (even a little) is off (competitors only)
- The plan won’t change if you don’t follow protocol or you have things you can improve in the current protocol. That’s responsible coaching. Coaches aren’t a circus to keep you entertained.
- You can’t get results if you don’t follow the plan 5/7 days is 71% success rate and isn’t good enough (as a competitor) to make progress. 6/7 is 85% and honestly isn’t great either.
- Vacation shouldn’t be about food and alcohol because it only breeds toxicity and inflammation. It should be about rest, fun and relaxation. If you don’t know what that is outside of alcohol it’s time we learn how to feed our soul.
- Check in on time or miss me that week. Respect yourself enough to have boundaries and respect other’s boundaries when asked to because boundaries are healthy for everyone.
- Communication skills are essential as an adult but it amazes me that young children are so much better at communication and saying what they need than grown adults. Not saying what you need or ghosting a coach entirely is probably the most telling sign of someones emotional maturity and one’s trajectory in life.
- I find that lately lack of understanding and education isn’t because of lack of availability of information. There’s information overload. It’s I find many people only hear what confirms their bias and soothes their own insecurities. They jump from source to source of info only cherry picking what they want to hear.
- Everyone wants to win but not everyone wants it like they say they do. Being able to be monotonous in your actions but progressive in your efforts are receipts a REAL winning athlete can provide.
- It’s truly amazing what the human body can accomplish but it’s still astounding what the mind can prevent.
- Lastly, I’m truly amazed at what my team continues to accomplish this year. The above doesn’t reflect my team, but instead outlines what my team doesn’t have room for as the winning culture and desire to win rises to top and suffocates what does not belong.
