Hi Elements ATA Families,

Testing Week is here!! We are excited to see everyone show off their best techniques as we wrap up our Communication Cycle. For our color belts, we've handed out Ready to Test stripes for those students testing. Please note that if your student did not receive their ready to test stripe (black stripe with Ready to Test on it), they were either missing one or more aspects, or were not ready to test.

We look forward to some great classes in preparation for testing and then Wednesday -Saturday we will NOT have classes as we have testing’s scheduled.

Wednesday - Tiger Testing’s & Black Belt Midterms

Thursday - Kids Testing’s

Friday - Rank Testing and Teen & Adult Testing

Saturday – Scheduled Make Up Testing’s

For more details, please see the Testing Schedule attached. Testing times are for current rank, not future rank (if I have a student that is a yellow belt, attempting to earn their camo, they will attend the yellow belt testing). If you miss testing or come at the wrong time, we will not be able to accommodate this week and will need to make other arrangements.

Requirements for Testing (No Exceptions):

White Uniform (No Color Uniforms/No T-shirts/No Training Pants)

Belt (Color belts must have Testing Stripe)

Gear Bag (If you have one)

Upcoming Tournaments – World Championships & Kalahari:

On July 13th- July 18th World Championships will be taking place in Phoenix, AZ. At this tournament, any student who finished the season in the top 10 of their age and rank, AND our District Champions, will be eligible to compete for the title of World Champion! During this week there will also be trainings, seminars, and workouts for instructors to grow in their own skill. To wrap up the week, there is a second tournament called Super 20 where the new season is kicked off with a chance at major points. This tournament is for everyone who wants to compete, similar to nationals. During this week we will be CLOSED and we hope everyone enjoys some fun in the sun and make sure to tag us in your “Kick Pic’s” on the beach, at the amusement parks, or at home taking a break.

On Sept 26th we will be going to Kalahari for a regional tournament. This is the closest tournament that we will have during the season and it’s a great opportunity to make a quick day trip into an experience that opens a lot of doors for you or your student. If you are new to tournaments that’s ok, we will be hosting a tournament class over the summer and we would love for everyone who’s interested in trying one to join us.
