We snap a line on the bottom purlin, then mark the steel at the desired amount you want to hang past the drip edge. Your steel stays straight along the bottom, and as long as your building trusses are square you will be perfect going up the truss.

Do heights bother you? I have never struggled with heights, I love being up high!!
