Ariana’s newly mended heart is treating her well … and you can see it in that smile of hers.

Her bright spirit, along with her new favorite stuffed animal, helped carry her through this tough journey. Now, her new and healthier story is just beginning.

She touched the hearts of every person she met in the hospital, making goodbyes truly bittersweet. We may leave a lasting impact on these children, but we often don’t realize the incredible impact they leave on all of us.

There’s something so special about watching a young girl face something so difficult and still leave a trail of positivity behind her.

Thank you to all the shooters who participated in A HeartFelt Shot, HeartGift's annual sporting clay tournament. 116 shooters on 29 teams joined us for a fabulous day of competition at the San Antonio Gun Club. Thanks to the day’s sponsors and shooter support, two more children’s lives will be saved, and on the way to a third! Participants met three-year-old Joshua from Honduras, HeartGift San Antonio's 100th child, who recently underwent successful life-saving heart surgery. 🤎

Surgery day! ❤️‍🩹

Thiago began his day with smiles and excitement, ready to mend the hole in his heart. The two-year-old from Honduras had a smile that said, “No more ASD!” His joy really shone when he saw the toy police car waiting for him. Who knew one of the biggest days of his life could also be such a blast? 🚓

It has been such a gift to witness his strength and bravery, which is clearly genetic after meeting his mother. We are so thankful to everyone who played a part in saving Thiago’s life. We are excited for the remainder of his healing journey! ❤️🎁
