Witnessing the resilience of humans is a pretty amazing thing to see. It does something to a bystander. Everyday that I’ve been back in the states I’ve been more and more in awe of the journey that is on and what she was able to do at the meet last week.

Coming back after 4 years is no easy feat. But to come back after what she was put through at the height of her swimming career is truly extraordinary.

To be on that pool deck and see the impact she’s made on the swimming community in the Bahamas is a moment I won’t soon forget.

That race was a statement to the swimming world. She can’t be broken. She back and from the looks of the times she swam it’s as if she never left.

I’m so honored to be trusted with her training and coaching. Never thought in a million years that I would be a swimming coach, but life can be full of pleasant surprises when you trust your journey.

This team is something special. Time to put our heads down and get ready for the next meet.

2025 was filled with new beginnings, first experiences and a lot of love.

I feel like I’m dreaming. I’ve always wanted to work for but I truly never thought it would happen.

Now that I’m here it feels pretty surreal.

I recently accepted the General Manager role for the Nike Strength Studio opening in downtown Austin this spring, and I couldn’t be more excited! 😆
