Mortgage demand surges as interest rates ease off recent highs Mortgage rates pulled back for the second straight week last week, and it was enough to get both current and potential homeowners on the phone with lenders.

Our client just had the seller pay $10,000 to buydown their interest rate 2% so they went from a 6% rate to 4%. This is happening with most of our clients currently as sellers are willing to pay down the buyers rate with higher inventory and longer days on market.
