What Engage Together does is build on that foundation. Phase 1 creates a comprehensive picture of a community's landscape identifying risk factors and vulnerabilities, mapping available resources, assessing existing coordination efforts, and uncovering opportunities to strengthen the response.

Phase 2 turns that knowledge into action. Working alongside existing coalitions, task forces, and community leaders, communities can align efforts, close gaps, strengthen partnerships, and focus resources where they are needed most.

Understanding risk. Mapping resources. Strengthening coordination. Identifying opportunities.
That is how communities move from awareness to a strategic, coordinated response that creates lasting impact.

The North Texas assessment identified a significant and exciting opportunity: the business community is positioned to play a meaningful role in Phase 2 -- and the region is ready to welcome that engagement.

Businesses bring unique reach, resources, and relationships. Sponsoring training, offering in-kind support, hosting learning conversations, aligning workforce practices -- these contributions strengthen the systems that protect people without asking businesses to step outside their lane.

Coalition-led, coordinated business engagement is one of the most promising pathways Phase 2 has to offer.

Tennessee now has a regional human trafficking assessment, an interactive directory of resources, TCTA (Tennessee Counter Trafficking Alliance), and partners mobilizing around identified needs.

State agencies are central to what happens next. Juvenile justice, child welfare, and education touch the populations most at risk. AG and governor's offices set the conditions that make cross-sector coordination possible. When those offices align around the same roadmap as community partners, the whole system moves together.

This is the work Phase 2 is built to support: shared data, shared language, and shared priorities across agencies that are often asked to coordinate without the infrastructure to do it well.
Engage Together provides that shared infrastructure and supports coalition leaders as they translate findings into agency-aligned action.
