Join us on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 3:30 pm at the Capitol Visitors Center to welcome GLO Senior Deputy Director for Heritage, Mark Lambert as he speaks about the maps that were drawn or archived in the Capitol Visitors Center when it was the General Land Office Building between 1858 and 1916 during his presentation "From Austin’s Beginnings to an O. Henry Ending, Maps and the General Land Office".

Question/answer session and book signing to follow. Book available for purchase at the Capitol Visitors Center Gift Shop.
