Thank you to Congresswoman Veronica Escobar and AmeriCorps Chief of Staff Mark Lloyd for joining local leaders, partners, and AmeriCorps Volunteers in El Paso this week for an important conversation about the power of national service!💪🅰️✨
After meeting with the AmeriCorps NCCC team serving with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank participants gathered for a roundtable co-facilitated by OneStar alongside Equal Heart,
City of El Paso, Texas - Municipal Government, Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, and Official El Paso Independent School District. It was an honor to celebrate the dedication of so many service-minded individuals committed to strengthening communities across Texas and beyond. Hearing directly from AmeriCorps Volunteers, community leaders, and partners was a powerful reminder of the impact AmeriCorps continues to make every single day.
AmeriCorps remains both a vital workforce pipeline—equipping members with hands-on experience and career-building skills—and a high-impact solution for delivering critical community services at scale. Many thanks again to Congresswoman Escobar, AmeriCorps leadership, and all of our partners for helping shine a light on the transformative power of service!💙
