Last Friday our ACC EGN Book Club met up and had our first ever BYOB: Bring Your Own Book. We all brought in and talked about some of our favorite books and/or books that we've been reading recently, and even had a mini book exchange. Our next meeting will cover "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and will be held on June 5th at 2pm in room 1107. Book club is open to all staff, faculty and students, so feel free to drop in and join the discussion (even if you haven't read the book and just want to gab)!

The ACC Cypress Creek library in collaboration with the Physics, Astronomy, and Engineering Department Stepped Out of the Ordinary and Stepped Into the Sun! ☀️

Ever wondered what it feels like to be at the very heart of our life-giving star? The Sun program immersed students and staff into the Sun’s blazing energy and explored its power in a hands-on experience. They created suncatchers, solar bead bracelets, an ode to the Sun and took a walk through our solar system. They witnessed demonstrations with canned heat and a solar oven. And marveled at the rainbow effects of a dispersed prism, peered through a telescope to spot sunspots, and stepped into our Sun immersion room and felt the Sun’s environment.
