Platinum Engagement Ring with 2.1 Carat Lab-Grown Diamond

This commission was such a delight to complete! I loved getting to be a small part of their story as they start their lives together.

This design has been in my brain for months. I’ve been experimenting with asymmetry and chains and when I finally made this, I took a step back . . . And I hated it!

I was so worried that people wouldn’t like it because the chains mean they won’t always face the right way. I could see every thing I learned and wanted to do different next time, so I set them down and walked away.

After a day I came back to it and decided to wear them, and you know what? I fell in love with them again. They are light and fun and elegant! I showed them off and everyone thought they looked great!

Sometimes you have just been staring at something for too long to see it anymore.

I am so close to finishing several new designs! I’m so excited!!!!! 😆

Making time for the studio in between major life decisions, health fluctuations, and raising an admittedly adorable puppy is a lot. But I’m so glad when I do. The mental boost from working on something I love gives me momentum for other tasks (like posting on social media lol) I have also learned so much about myself. For example I cannot be trusted to wield fire AND have a conversation at the same time. (RIP to that marquis setting that is now a melted blob)

I can’t wait to show these to you all shiny and finished!

In the interest of spending time with family, we are going to take a brief break from social media over the holidays. We have lots of amazing things in the works including setting up a new studio! We hope that whatever you are celebrating you get to do it with people you love ❤️ see you in the new year!
