Committee Day vs Admit Day 🤘

During committee, the Admissions Team is spending days together in this conference room reading applications and making decisions (which sometimes happens while on walking pads!). On Decision Release Day, our Admissions Committee enjoys bagels and coffee as current students make calls to our newly admitted students 🤘✨

Congratulations to all of our Full-Time MBA Round 2 Admitted Students! 🤠

Through a new collaboration involving the McCombs School of Business, McGovern Medical School, and the John Sealy School of Medicine, medical students in Houston and Galveston will soon have the opportunity to earn an M.D./MBA. 🤘

Beginning in Fall 2026, students will be able to spend a dedicated year completing an MBA through Texas McCombs’ Houston campus while continuing their medical education. The program is designed to fit alongside the demands of medical training, with weekend-based classes that allow students to build skills in finance, strategy, and leadership while staying engaged in their clinical studies.

The new degree offering comes on the heels of a January announcement that Texas McCombs is committing $13 million during the next decade to better serve its Houston constituents. M.D./MBA will join the school’s Working Professional MBA program, and students will take classes at a new campus in Houston’s CityCentre business district.
