CLEAR alignment is different than perfect alignment.
It involves taking a moment to settle and check in with yourself, rather than simply "powering through" or "opting out."
It also means listening to what your different Parts are thinking and feeling, and being willing to *adjust* accordingly.
Some days, alignment might look like running as planned.
And on other days, it might look like resting and reminding the part of you managing your relationship to running that this is *still* an acceptable choice in reaching your goal to X and is in fact very aligned with your commitment to Y this season.
Aligning (and re-aligning, and re-aligning) is a process, and means being willing to adjust your *self talk* or your *logistics* (or sometimes your self talk *and* logistics).

A habit goal is designed around running, well, habitually—
as a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up.
It invites you to tune into your experience of the practice each week, and to iterate based on what you want and need.
It calls you to reach for it consistently in rain or shine or not, and in doing so, sharpen a little skill called agency— real agency, from making real choices about what, when, who, where, and why you’ll run.
Sound like a goal you would be interested in exploring in your own running practice?
