Great design isn't just about selecting beautiful finishes—it's about architecturally evaluating a space to understand how every element can work together to make it feel its very best.

In this lake house, a tall white oak mirror was chosen not only for its beauty, but because its vertical scale visually heightens the room, making the ceilings feel taller while reflecting natural light to brighten the space.

Rather than placing a sconce beside the mirror, I mounted it directly onto the mirror itself. This maximizes light exactly where it's needed while creating a custom, layered look that feels intentional and elevated.

The white shiplap keeps the relaxed charm of a lake house, while the warmth of the white oak mirror adds balance, texture, and sophistication. It's these architectural decisions—not just the décor—that transform a home from simply finished to thoughtfully designed.

The best interiors don't happen by accident. They happen when every design choice has a purpose.

If you're ready to elevate your home with thoughtful, intentional design, I'd love to help you see what's possible. ✨

Powder baths are one of the few spaces where you can make a big design statement without a big renovation budget.

It’s small. It’s used by guests. And almost everyone who visits your home will see it.

This is where you can have some fun.

Bold wallpaper.
A sculptural vessel sink.
Unexpected hardware.
A moody paint color.
A vintage mirror.
Unexpected lighting.

Because a powder bath doesn’t have to play by the same rules as the rest of the house.

It can be a little jewel box that reflects you—your personality, your sense of humor, your style.

And the best part? A relatively minimal investment can create a huge impact.

If there’s one room to take a design risk in… this is it.
