We’re excited to highlight Alexandra Isler, Class of 2026 at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and recipient of the TVMA One Health Committee Scholarship.

Alexandra’s path in veterinary medicine is deeply rooted in One Health, bridging clinical practice, public health, and the interconnected health of people, animals, and the environment. Commissioned as a Captain in the Army Veterinary Corps, she plans to focus her career on veterinary preventive medicine and pathology, with a strong emphasis on public health and disease surveillance.

Francesca’s passion for veterinary medicine is deeply rooted in her commitment to One Health, outdoor conservation, and serving both animals and communities in need. From marathon training to supporting local shelters, she brings energy, compassion, and purpose into everything she does.

Her long-term goal is to support overwhelmed animal shelters and help strengthen systems that improve outcomes for animals and the people who care for them.
