For those of you who know and love Lexie . . . I had to put her down yesterday. She had cancer - symptoms came on fast and I got her diagnosed fast, so, thankfully, while she didn't feel good for a couple weeks, I don't think she was suffering. Such an awesome, sweet girl - and completely part of the family! While she was at about every fitdog class, she wasn't exactly the model participant - but she kept watch over the blankets.

Someone is ready for summer - I'm with her. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen.

As the weather is perfect for running outside - take your dog with you!! Remember, though that your fuzzy workout partner needs to build stamina just like you do and needs to work into the heat of the summer just like you do. So as you ramp miles through spring and into summer, take your dog with you along the way :)

A friend of mine just lost her dog who had gotten into cooked chicken bones. Just a reminder to keep people food and trash away from the fuzzies. :(

We are having the 4th annual DogtoberTrot right before. It is a 1K fun walk with your favorite walking partner pooch.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2014
Time: Check-in and Day-of Registration is at 8:00AM; walk begins at 9:00AM
Cost: $30 – benefitting 8 local rescue groups
You get: the walk and stations, t-shirt, and raffle ticket. Whole foods to provide fruit & granola.

We are walking in phase II of the Domain again this year. The change is that DogtoberFest is also in phase II – so there will be plenty of activities out there. The vendors for DogtoberFest will be setting up as we walk through. The first Demo of the day for DogtoberFest will be Doga at 9:30, so plan on staying after the walk for that.
