Everything in here is doing something. The layered window treatments bring in light without losing privacy.

The floating shelves keep the fireplace wall from feeling heavy. The mix of textures makes it feel lived in before anyone has even moved in.

Family homes are the most honest design challenge there is.

There's no hiding behind pretty styling when real life is happening. The materials have to perform. The layout has to make sense at 7am and 7pm. The spaces have to be flexible enough to change as the family does.

That pressure makes us better designers. And there's nothing more satisfying than a home that holds up to all of it and still feels like somewhere you'd want to spend time.
