Our students come in with one question: what is God calling me to do? We address that question in our program because the answer is simple.

We’re called to be disciples, and make disciples. We are not just talking about a powerful convicting moment, we are talking about a life of apprenticeship to Jesus. Regardless of how Jesus’ disciples joined his ministry, one thing they all had in common was that they saw things they couldn't unsee. They experienced things from which they could never go back, where what they thought they knew and what they saw did not match, and for that, they gave their lives over completely.

And that’s exactly what’s happening.

For college students wondering if they have to choose between their work life and their life's work. We're looking for rising Juniors and Seniors: excellent students who are ready to explore their faith through their work. We match interns with faith based nonprofit internships tailor made for them. ServeHere pays students a stipend to intern, be discipled, and participate in life changing discussions about God, work, and discerning next steps.

When we say Nathan found a family in the team, we mean it. The team completely embraced him in the most profound way. They discipled him spiritually and also encouraged the greatest work out of him. Through his time on the education team, Nathan participated in the development and ex*****on of the simposium for community replicators. He used his gift of writing every day of his internship. He was part of big meetings, transitions, open mic nights, and challenging conversations.

Nathan came to ServeHere hoping to discern his direction post-grad. He had an inkling that his future would include work with the chronically homeless, and playing a part in watching people find belonging. Nathan's experience was so impactful to him, he had us all in tears at his reflections at the end of the Summer. Watching these experiences first hand is why we do what we do.
