This is why we do what we do. 🩷

Meet Patricia Carley β€” a Ballet Austin season ticket holder for three years and counting. For Patricia, Ballet Austin isn't just a night out. It's a connection to Austin, a tradition with her son, and a reminder of why live dance matters.

This is what it means to keep art within reach for every generation, in every city, across every decade.

Thank you, Patricia, for sharing your family's story with us. ✨

Happy Birthday to Anika Crouser! πŸŽ‰βœ¨

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Anika trained at Dublin Dance Center and Columbus City Ballet before attending summer intensives at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Houston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and BalletMet. She went on to earn a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Creative Advertising from Southern Methodist University in 2023 β€” a combination as versatile as her artistry on stage.

At Ballet Austin, Anika has shined onstage in George Balanchine's Concerto Barocco, Jessica Lang's ZigZag, and as Waltz Soloist and the Snow Queen in Stephen Mills' The Nutcracker, and recently debuted as Pamina in The Magic Flute.

Wishing Anika a birthday as bright and beautiful as her time on our stage. Happy Birthday! πŸ’« Help us celebrate Anika by dropping your birthday wishes in the comments! ⬇️
