Excited to be heading to Istanbul this weekend for the third time! As I get ready for the trip, getting into the spirit by listening to Turkish music. One song that brings back so many memories is 'Şımarık (Kiss Kiss)' by Tarkan—a huge hit in the late 90s and 2000s when I lived in Germany. There was such a strong Turkish community there, and this song was everywhere! Music has always been a powerful connector, and revisiting these tunes reminds me of the rich cultural experiences that have shaped my journey as an intercultural consultant. Excited to once again explore Istanbul, a city where history and modernity blend seemingly seamlessly, and to bring fresh perspectives to my work . 🎶✈️
