Ringing in the New Year with a new board member. We are proud to welcome Jordan Moncivaiz as the Director of Player Engagement! 🎉

Jordan (he/him) is from Waukegan, IL, and moved to ATX in 2019 to continue his career journey as a higher education professional. He first joined VBA in 2021. Over the past five years with the league, and through building meaningful relationships, Jordan aspires to ensure all players feel seen, championed, and comfortable, creating a true sense of belonging.

His favorite part of VBA, beyond socializing, is the skills development both on and off the court that has enhanced his leadership and communication skills personally and professionally.

What’s an ideal day for Jordan in ATX? Picture this: Jordan and Zeke (his Husky) pick you up for a light hike to Sculpture Falls. But first, we stop at Dutch Bros for an overly caffeinated sweet drink. After hiking, we refuel at Tyson’s Tacos. Finally, we wrap up the day by watching a psychological thriller at Alamo Drafthouse while sipping on a cookies and cream shake.

Volleyball Austin and Unity Sand Volleyball are teaming up for a Grass Volleyball Collaboration Event on December 14, 2025 from 12–3 PM at Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park!

We’ll have 3 courts, great energy, and space for all skill levels—from beginners to seasoned players. Bring your friends, bring your game, and get ready for a fun afternoon in the sun! ☀️
