What happens when you open up a kitchen that’s been closed off?

At Canyon Creek, the answer was light, volume, and a material story that couldn’t exist in the original footprint. The galley is gone. In its place, an open kitchen anchored by a waterfall marble island with the home’s original stone framing the space beyond.
