This is the first year I’ve added my birthday to FB, and I gotta say - I had no idea what an outpouring of well-wishes were waiting. Thank all of y’all so very much for all the kindness and wonderful thoughts. I’m flabbergasted. ❤️

Country bass players: what about playing 5-root (2-5 scale degree) instead of root-5 on V chords? When did that start, and when did it stop?

Been geeking around inside my BF Princeton Reverb. I added a 470k grid drop resistor to the phase inverter, and it sounds IMMENSELY better. Used to be so mushy on the bottom end as to make it almost unusable beyond clean. Now it's awesome! Also took out the death cap. I feel so much safer.

Just finished a week of work on a wonderful CD with a hugely talented new singer and songwriter named Kora Feder. Y'all keep an ear out - she's tremendous.
