🏆 Congratulations to Jaime Padilla of CenterPoint Energy, recipient of the 2026 TGA Meritorious Award!

The Texas Gas Association is proud to recognize Jaime for his outstanding commitment to safety, quick thinking, and decisive action in a critical emergency.

While completing routine duties, Jaime observed smoke in the distance and quickly responded to the scene of a house fire. Upon arrival, he recognized that an active natural gas meter posed a serious risk to first responders and the surrounding community.

After coordinating with emergency personnel, Jaime safely located and shut off the meter, effectively removing the hazard and allowing first responders to continue their work without additional risk.

His calm response, situational awareness, and commitment to public safety exemplify the highest standards of our industry.
