Ben recently had the pleasure of meeting and sharing an America 250 Celebration with these beautiful and wonderful ladies-Abigail Adam, Lucy Knox and Betsy Ross. These and other women made America’s story great.

Had a great time celebrating America’s 250 with over 400 Eagle Trail District, Circle Ten Council Scouts and volunteers at Camp James Ray Scout Reservation Saturday night for their Camporee. Thanks to all for their hospitality and great conversation. Keep up the good work and remember that the fire of liberty cannot be preserved without consistent attending. To the next 250!!!🇺🇸

Had the privilege of being invited to the Oklahoma State Capitol to speak for Freedom Day with a group of great Patriots (COS Oklahoma), Senators, Representatives and some great homeschoolers that no doubt will be leaders of tomorrow. Always your Humble Servant. Ben

Today in 1778 at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, representatives for King Louis XVI and the Second Continental Congress (Ben Franklin, Silas Deane, and Arthur Lee) signed two monumental agreements: the Treaty of Alliance and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce which:

•• Officially Recognized the U.S. France became the first major power to recognize the U.S. as a sovereign, independent nation.

•• Provided Military Muscle: It brought French soldiers, gold, and gunpowder directly into the fight.

•• Contributed To The Yorktown Victory: French naval power under Admiral de Grasse and ground troops under General Rochambeau were the decisive forces that trapped the British at Yorktown, effectively ending the war.

•• Created A Mutual Pact: Both nations agreed not to make a separate peace with Britain until American independence was fully realized.

P.S. While some may think I was in favor of the turkey being the symbol of this new nation, may I remind you that is just rumor.
P.S.S. On reflection it might have been a better symbol for the place we find ourselves in today’s politics.
