Happy Mother’s Day to Kelli (Kiki, Kells Bells, momma…) the kind of woman who makes people feel safe, seen, and fiercely loved all at once. She is loyal, endlessly understanding, and the type of person who always seeks to do the right thing simply because it’s who she is at her core. Quietly strong, deeply fearless, and steady in ways most people will never fully understand.

As the wife of a Marine, she has always been the safe harbor at home, the calm in the chaos, the steady hand, the protector of her family’s heart while the world moved loudly around her. Strength looks different on different women, and hers has never needed to scream to be powerful. It shows up in her consistency, her sacrifice, her resilience, and the way she loves people without condition.

She raised me to know my power not by forcing me into a mold, but by allowing me to fully become myself. Somehow she managed to guide the absolute hurricane of passion, determination, glitter, and fury she unleashed onto the world with grace and patience. I always joke that she must have birthed me into a box of glitter because ever since then I’ve been the beautiful chaotic and strong-willed girl that came tailored made to take life by the horns and ride till the wheels fall off.

More than anything, I’m grateful for the way she’s always allowed me to speak my mind, own my space, and never apologize for who I am. That kind of love changes a person forever.
