My good friend Cindy sent me this article today. Some deep wisdom and compelling research here. Ladies, we need each other in our lives. Period. (No offense, guys! We need you, too!) I talk to so many people who have totally let friendships and any kind of social life go by the wayside because of work, kids, household stuff, too much screen time, etc. Make time for friends - even just once or twice a week - and see how much richer and joyful and interesting life can be! As I head to an association meeting - a luncheon that will feature both networking and a professional development program - I pause to ask myself a few questions: Why am I attending this meeting? What do I hope to learn / experience? What bit of information will enlighten or inspire me (or both)? What possibilities or opportunities await me? Who will I meet / see / reconnect with?
I don't have to have any of the answers, but the questions are vital. Without questions, there are no intentional solutions, ideas, synchronicities, or possibilities.
What are your Big Questions for today?
Heads blow up when I ask this in my presentations and workshops. Some people even get a little irked with me. But coming up with and asking yourself Big Questions should be as natural as pouring a cup of coffee or brushing your teeth. Especially if you consider yourself a leader or an expert or someone who wants to make (and attract) the most out of life.
