Soul Finger is a showcase for the powerfully sweet soul vocal stylings of Shunetra Ville (aka Billie B). Moving seamlessly between vocally challenging material, Shunetra delivers authentic, soul-deep interpretations of everything from Nina Simone and Al Green, to Billie Holiday, to Etta James and Aretha Franklin. No one does it better.

Supporting her is Soul Finger's top-notch rhythm section and stellar soloists, dishing out deep-groove soul music, across genres, but all firmly in the tradition. Rounding out an evening's performance the band also delivers smokin' instrumentals that showcase the players' command of a set of blue-jazz and original arrangements you'll mostly not hear performed by other groups on the Skylark stage.
