Shandilya a buddhist monk is infatuated with a beautiful courtesan whose death upsets him. His guru is shocked to learn that his favourite shishya (disciple) is tempted by love. He switches souls with the courtesan to prove the greatness of their dharmam. And a comedy ensues! Guru advocates love and eventually starts to seduce Shandilya, courtesan starts to preach Buddhism and Shandilya is overall confused.
