When Flight 1420 crashed while landing during a thunderstorm in Little Rock, ten passengers were killed and many more seriously injured. Slack Davis represented 25 surviving passengers and two families who lost loved ones.

When the lead trial attorney collapsed during opening statements, the court asked Mike Slack to step in. He and co-counsel tried the case to verdict, one later affirmed on appeal and still recognized as a landmark result for airline passengers today.
