Thank you to everyone who attended the July 3rd event! It was great to see so many visitors throughout the day. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) rolled out an enormous, 10 x 13ft 28-star flag in honor of Independence Day and as part of the Texas America250 celebrations. The national flag flew for one year beginning on July 4, 1846, after Texas joined United States as the twenty-eighth state and is now part of the historic flag collection at the State Archives.
