This photo was taken at Louise Stefan's 100th birthday party, just a few months ago. We're sad to say that Louise died this past Saturday after a short stay in Hospice.
She'd been a Hastings Human for over 61 years and was still working up to a few weeks before she passed. She started out as a telephone secretary with Ann Hastings, (the founder of the company,) and advanced to supervisor, a position she held for many years. For the past several decades, she's been listening to the recorded calls of Hastings Humans, and grading them on their accuracy. Her quality control has been one of the big factors in the many Awards of Excellence that Hastings Humans have received.
She told us (and her children, too) that working with Hastings was what kept her going. She said that some people who get older "wait to die"- but she wanted to live and do all she could. She was a wonderful woman, and we will miss her.
