Mental illness. Illness is defined as a disease or period of sickness affecting the body or mind this puts mental illness and cancer in the same category as they're both diseases that kill people. Treating a mental illness any differently than any other serious sickness is a disservice to you and to the mentally ill person that is suffering. Let's educate ourselves on things that we don't know about and let's have some compassion on those who are dealing with things that we don't understand.
