Apple's new IOS system increases the end user's control over their data.
I think this is great. Facebook, on the other hand, takes it as an attack on small businesses.
I can tell you first hand, considering I worked as a contractor for a consulting firm that worked for Facebook to consult small businesses on the FB advertising platform....Facebook will not go above and beyond for your small business.
The program I was a part of allocated 20 minutes per call and 2 calls maximum per customer. I did not have direct contact to any additional support should a customer have policy questions or otherwise.
And you can see in the comments that small business owners are calling Facebook out on this. And they have every right.
When you invest in your consumers, they will fight for you. If you treat them as disposable, they will do the same to you.
(And no, the irony isn't lost on me that I've posted this on FB 🙃)
According to Google, "73% of US shoppers said they will shop online more this holiday than previous seasons." And surprise surprise, they're shopping RIGHT NOW.
Why? They're worried stores will be out of stock. So I'm not saying you need to add "low inventory" or "limited quantities" to your sites...but I'm not NOT saying it. :wink wink:
