Happy Pride, Travis County! 🌈

With help from our LGBTQIA+ community, we raised the Progress Pride Flag for the 6th year in a row and unveiled a new pride path outside the Travis County Administrative Building at 700 Lavaca St.

⚠️ WARNING: The heat in Travis County is expected to be dangerous!

Travis County Community Centers serve as cooling centers during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Fill up your water bottle, charge your phone, and enjoy the A/C!

🌡️ High temps + high humidity this week = HOT and dangerous! Take a few minutes to learn the signs of heat-related illness.

⚠️ Heat exhaustion:
• Heavy sweating
• Dizziness or weakness
• Headache
• Nausea
• Cool, clammy skin
✔ Move to a cool place immediately
✔ Drink water
✔ Rest and cool down

🚨 Heat stroke:
• High body temperature
• Confusion
• Hot, red skin
• Loss of consciousness
📞 Call 911 immediately

Drink lots of water, wear lightweight clothing, and avoid spending too much time out in the heat!
