Good morning FB friends and family! Good news! The band is proud to announce our new addition to the band, Shelli Miller. Shelli will be taking over on vocals and brings strong songwriting skills and a more Rock-n-Roll edge to the band. Shelli is no stranger to the Austin music scene, Shelli has been playing music in and around Austin for years. Her eclectic style - from blues to rock to folk and everything in between - and expressive voice, will catch and keep your attention. Shelli grew up in Houston where she joined her first band at age 14, bucking the trends and playing both acoustic and electric guitar. She has written and recorded numerous songs, having a special fondness for nuanced and layered vocals, and knows hundreds of covers guaranteed to rock your socks off. Her many influences include The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Heart, The Eagles, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Joni Mitchell, Doobie Brothers, Deep Purple, Elton John, Tom Petty and Van Halen.

Shelli is a regular at many open mic and currently plays with Brass in Pocket, America’s Pretender’s Tribute Band, and original bands Side Piece and now, Slowly Grace.

Slowly Grace the band, as you’ve known it, has come to a turning point. Our extremely talented and beautiful singer Mari, has chosen to explore other outlets to express her passion and creativity.
Over the years, Bobby and I have had the honor of playing in several bands with Mari as our singer, and face of the band. Bobby, going back to SWTSU where they met and first played in a band together.
But this band, Slowly Grace, has been by far the most satisfying musical experience for me.
First with Mike Barfield on keys, and Chris Happel on bass, then to this most recent incarnation of the band with Daniel Racer doing double duty on bass and keys, it’s been a real thrill.
We wish Mari all the luck in the world!

The other members of the band, are going to continue to write new material together, while we search for another singer, or other musicians who may be interested in collaborating with us.
