Ingredients
6 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp onion powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
Optional: ½ tsp cayenne pepper (for spice)
Instructions
Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel — this helps the skin crisp up.
Rub them with oil, then season all sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
Preheat a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the chicken skin side down in the hot pan (no need for more oil if the pan is nonstick).
Cook without moving for about 8–10 minutes until the skin is deep golden and crisp.
Flip and cook the other side for 7–10 minutes, or until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 75°C / 165°F).
Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Tips for Extra Crispiness
Make sure the skin is completely dry before cooking.
