Three color decisions — pink zellige on the island, warm oak slab on the wall run, sage green built-in shelving in the back — and the cabinetry keeps every one of them in its own lane.
The oak wall build is the anchor. Flat slab fronts running floor to ceiling, no hardware to break the vertical rhythm. It reads as the architectural backbone the more saturated pieces get to play against. Then the pink tile island and the sage shelving behind it. Two bold decisions the room only gets away with because the cabinetry underneath them is doing the quiet work.

Oak base cabinetry with recessed panel fronts and small brass k***s — a completely uninterrupted horizontal run that reads as furniture rather than millwork. A dramatic dark green marble slab wraps the backsplash while a run of open oak shelving floats independently above it, treating the wall as three separate architectural registers — stone, void, and floating wood. Each one given room to breathe.
Cabinetry, stone, and shelving each holding their own zone. Nothing shared. Nothing competing.
