We are saddened to hear the news about the beloved Pease Park Conservancy troll.
Austin Fire Department is actively looking for any information and tips the public may have about the fire that destroyed Malin.
Please contact 1-877-434-7345 if you have any information about this event.
The troll sculpture in Pease Park was lost to a fire, and we are heartbroken alongside the community that cherished it. Austin Fire Department has responded and it is now an active investigation. We are referring all questions to AFD at this time.

Yesterday, worked through an agenda which included addressing graffiti on private property, renovating the Zilker Clubhouse, + more. Watch the meeting at bit.ly/4ddOdbY.
Here are a few highlights:
⚾ City Council approved the installation of a new reclaimed water line at the Krieg Field Athletic Complex to provide irrigation for softball fields, bulk water use for Austin Parks and Recreation Department, + more—conserving drinking water.
🚧 Council members authorized construction services for a storm drain improvement project near the Dove Springs + Brassiewood neighborhoods in southeastern Austin. This upgrade will improve drainage in the area, which has experienced flooding of houses and yards.
🏪 City Council extended a contract for continued graffiti removal services on private property across Austin. Learn more about the program: bit.ly/4tRTSvl.
👷 Council members voted to support a rehabilitation construction contract for the historic 1934 Zilker Clubhouse special events facility. The building requires a new roof, restoration of ironwork, ADA modifications, + more.
