Earlier this year in February, we had to urgently repair one of our water systems. It was a reminder of something we see too often: clean water systems don’t just need to be built, they need ongoing care to keep working.

When a system breaks, it’s not just a technical issue. It means children may arrive at school without safe drinking water. It means handwashing becomes difficult in the heat. It means a basic need suddenly becomes uncertain.

Clean water is the first line of protection for every child’s health and learning, yet maintaining it is a constant, ongoing effort.

Our Summer Campaign includes our Educate a Child initiative, a commitment we have always held at the heart of Caring for Cambodia, ensuring every child has access to education, nutrition, safety, and opportunity.

Today, more than 11,000 students walk through our school doors each day relying not only on education, but also on the meals, care, and safe environment that allow them to truly thrive.
