Are you an avid reader of the news? Do you have experience with journalism and news-style writing, or are you eager to learn? If so, Mightier Content will pay you $13-15 per hour to write short daily news stories on our clients' websites.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is familiar with news style, has previous experience writing for the internet, and is highly skilled at sourcing news stories from the web. But we’re also interested in hearing from anyone with some writing talent and a willingness to learn!

You will have the flexibility of working from home and setting your own schedule each day. The ideal candidate will have time M-F, since posts will need to be published daily.

We publish multiple short news posts per day for each of our clients, which entails:
-Finding relevant, existing news stories in a given geographic area.
-Composing a 100% original, news-style piece that is clear, concise, and professional. Pieces average 100-200 words.
-Using Google Maps to create a custom map for each story covered.
-Publishing news stories to WordPress.

This job is ideal for freelancers looking for a reliable part-time gig, current university students who want to make some extra money, and experienced writers who value a flexible schedule.

This job is not ideal for florid writers, people who need to work in an office setting to be productive, individuals looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) position, or those who do not understand the difference between news writing and other styles of writing.
