Today we celebrate the great Miles Davis in his centenary year, born this day in 1926

“Miles Davis : Scenes from a Life” features a stunning collection of prints from Glen Craig and Don Hunstein, showing Miles Davis in the studio, on stage, at home and in the boxing gym.

We’re absolutely thrilled to bring you these super cool co-signed prints of Pete Townshend of The Who by Tom Wright.

Born in Alabama in 1944, Wright studied photography at England’s Ealing Art School in the early 1960s. It was there that he met Pete Townshend, who would go on to be the founder of The Who. Their friendship grew from a shared passion for music, and Wright’s extensive and eclectic music collection became a significant influence on Townshend’s artistic development. Wright became The Who’s official photographer in 1967 and chronicled the group’s explosive rise. Townshend later noted, “One thing is certain, had I not met Tom Wright, The Who would never have become successful. We would have remained a solid little pop band doing what hundreds of others were doing around the same time.”

These co-signed prints, chosen by Pete Townshend himself from Tom’s extensive archive, and co-signed by Pete Townshend and Tom Wright.

Our friends at The Briscoe Centre .center.ut are the home of the Tom Wright Photography Collection which contains over one hundred and twenty thousand photos and thousands of audio and video recordings as well as Tom Wrights personal papers and correspondence.
