New mural painted at Haymans Market as part of the annual aerosol art workshop sponsored by @usembassybridgetown Thanks to @haymansmarket for the space and @kobrapaint for the supplies and @thencfbarbados for the support of this amazing international arts exchange program. Very excited for continuing this collaboration, started last year with the amazing @next_level_usa program! Mural depicts historical notes relevant to earliest known Amerindian inhabitants of the island to centuries of settling by countries from around the world and their labor in sugarcane fields and production, to modern uses of sugar in rum and sweet treats. So much to be learned from past industries growth and decline. Also interesting to watch the reincarnation of the Haymans factory as a new community venue and market space opening this Friday.
