Well, It turned out to be too bold for the investment team and they went a more traditional route.

For the past week Shelf took a mini break to reboot with another exploring “zine” collages with the fabulous Swedish illustrator and artist . Her work is wonderful and whimsy and often created without much color at all. I on the other hand love color a bit too much.

So to celebrate a new beginning post Covid, my book was about my year of change. From sunset when everything is sunny but rain begins to fall, then midnight when it feels like a jungle and my monkey mind goes wild, then sunrise where the air is fresher and the day begins to wake. Then daytime where my new home will be filled with love and light and animals! Oh and my amazing new art studio in the casita! And somewhere a pool behind that fence. To a fabulous year in a new space with welcoming energy and a fresh new outlook before I turn 45. Creativity is magic and makes everything to me more beautiful.

Studios, agencies, freelancers even — we are all always evolving and seeking to grow from where we were. They always say your only as good as your last project. With this collage I’ll take it. It was a pretty satisfying day.
