Super Lap Battle ‘25

We’re out here supporting one of our 4RS builds - come check it out in garage 18

This 992 GT3 RS came through for our last chassis setup before Chin Track Days at COTA this weekend.

We made a quick ride height adjustment before swapping shims out for our preferred configuration. This allows us to not only hit our target alignment specs (full send in this case), but also puts the suspension geometry on the happier side of its range.

We delivered another track spec GT3 a few days ago, and one that is a bit special to us! We might have the most time under this car than any other GT car under its previous owner from 2020-2024.

It sold earlier this year but it found a great home and its new owner brought the car back to us for some solid track upgrades.

It’s now sitting on Motion Control Suspension 3 way dampers and Dundon Motorsports control arms including camber plates, tension arms, rear control arms, and front/rear inner lower control arms, converting the car over to full spherical.

We also mounted a fresh set of Hoosier R7s using our new “bead bonding” process which dramatically reduces the tendency for the R7s to spin on the wheel during track use. We have tested this on race prepped GT cars as well as the heavier G8X BMWs, and rotation has been reduced by over 90% and in some cases completely eliminated. We’ll do another post on this soon.

The last step in this process is always a BSM spec chassis setup and we dialed the alignment, shims, corner balance and ride height in to 10/10ths so the car can continue to turn solid laps at COTA. But faster than ever!

Heavy hitters.

Saga Motorsports brought their two 992 GT3 RS’ by for chassis setup after installing recently released Dundon Motorsports front suspension components.

We can put a solid “max shim” track setup on a stock 992 GT3/3RS, which works solid for many customers. But for those who are looking to push these cars to the absolute limits (especially on R compound tires), altering the front suspension geometry allows us to increase the camber range beyond what the factory deemed appropriate, while also allowing us to fine tune the caster to match. The result is more grip and faster lap times.

Our setups are always evolving and in the case of the two cars pictured we did slightly different specs on each. We will use driver feedback and data from Saga to determine if there are areas that we can tweak further.

Chin Track Days at COTA was HOT, but as always a good time!
