What a magical fun filled evening last night was! I’m blown away - I won my 7th consecutive Fiddle Player of the Year Award - what the what!? 😭🫶 I was so happy my Mom and sister came along with me, and we had fun watching the show as much as we did visiting with so many friends backstage! Thanks to & for having me join on stage - congrats to y’all on your wins as well!! 🏆 It was so heartwarming to see The Whites being honored (with joining them!) - and I loved hearing all the history of them growing up in Arkansas! And when came out to sing honoring Allen Reynolds it was pure magic! Garth came to surprise Allen - and he sure surprised me when he popped out of his dressing room and I happened to be standing there “oh, Hi there Garth!” 🙋🏻‍♀️🎻🤣 We chatted a while and then he spotted sweet Sawyer June who I had the pleasure of meeting last night - a young Arkansas gal that went viral (singing with Ashley McBryde at the entrance of the Opry) - and I snapped a pic when Garth knelt down to chat with her and her parents about her dreams and aspirations. Gahhh I loved witnessing that!! My mind rolls back to moments I got to meet my musician and country music heroes at concerts - when your heroes take that moment to speak to you it sure can fire up those big dreams!!! What a night! Oh, and I was so thrilled we got to chat with legend, Jeannie C. Riley! I could go on and on - thank you for putting on another amazing show!
…okay…Drove 6 hours and it’s on to the CMA Touring Awards tonight ans then CMA Fest this week!! (Performing Thursday night if you happen to be !) 🚙💨💨💨
