50 Mile Overnight Ultra Marathon
Obviously, there was a lot of running preparation that went into this, but the biggest difference to stay in the race was our attention to nutrition. For any type of athletic event but especially one of such length it is key to keep your body fueled properly to prevent cramping and crashing out.
Precise amounts of carbs, sodium and water based off bodyweight were measured out and scheduled from 48 hours out to all the way till the end of the race. Precise nutrition and proper pacing was the missing link for at least half of the field.

Came for the Ultra, Stayed for the BBQ
Amazing community of like minding people in Austin. Only was able to dip my toes in and see what it was about. From the beasts at Korrect Fitness Onnit Gym to the staff and athletes at the ultra. These people push each other out of their comfort zones every damn day!
Proud of the work put in and mindset he showed on game day. Kid is a STUD and pleasure to coach. Trusted me with his nutrition and training even though I’ve never coached a single ultra athlete before. More to come on the event soon!
