I don’t know about you guys… but I’m a crier. I always have been. My nickname when I was a kid was B.B. (aka Bawl Bag) because I would cry over anything and everything. And while I’m sure a lot of my tears were “faux”, I’m sure the sensitivity behind them was genuine. You would have thought that I would have grown out of this, but alas… I’m still prone to crying at the drop of a hat. Show me a cute video of a pup. Tears. Someone does something kind for another human or animal. Sobs. Large groups coming together to perform a dance routine, musical piece or march for a cause… open the floodgates. I started my career as a wedding photographer crying at every wedding, but thank goodness I finally built up an immunity. Tears blinding you whilst your job depends on your vision is a bit of a hazard.

This photo was taken yesterday. I was having a lovely brunch with a dear friend and found myself tearing up at least 4-5 times that morning/afternoon. It’s one of those weeks/months where a lot is going on… I’ve experienced the loss of my relationship, hormones are all over the place, my mom lost her pup which destroyed both of us plus put me in overdrive of the THOUGHT of losing my own one day. So… it’s been a lot. I’m pretty sure the tears being captured in this photo were because of my gratitude for my beautiful friend. It’s so special as an adult to find other women who mesh with you… who rejoice in you fully and you with them… who you know will have your back at a moments notice and who just flat out “get you”. So… as hard as this month has been, it’s also been so wonderfully blissful. Connecting with my garden, my friends, my family, and most important - myself. I look forward to what’s next. I know this Universe has much to unfold… at for now, I know it has LA, Denver and Hawaii all in the next 45 days where I’m sure there will be many happy tears shed. 🤍😭🤍
