Q: Don't we already have a train?

A: Austin already has commuter rail called the Red Line. It runs on existing heavy rail train tracks and connects Downtown to North Austin. The light rail will be really different. It'll run directly on city streets and connect to key destinations in the heart of Austin. And because it will also connect to the Red Line, they'll work together to create a more complete transit system.
