I've been waiting for the water to reside to post this. I have been in touch with many friends and family in the area, and the devastation is very real. The death count continues to rise and there are still many missing and un-accounted for. It's a helpless feeling when you're on the other side of the planet watching it unfold in your home. To those there that are sacrificing their time, their sleep, and their lives to help others, our hats are off to you all. The photos I posted are from Lismore in Northern NSW, a town about 45 mins west of Byron Bay. But there are many many more towns and cities from Brisbane to Sydney that are facing similar trauma and need help. To the people I salute you. Stay united and stay strong, and love thy neighbour. To the Councils and local governments, I challenge you to make a change for your community, Floods are increasing at rapid rates and are the #1 killer of all other natural disasters in Australia and around the globe.
